JOVANKA VUCKOVIC is the co-founder of The Tell Tale Heart. She brings her years of expertise as a writer and filmmaker to her position as Owner & Curator of our unique gallery. Her first short film The Captured Bird was executive produced by Guillermo del Toro and played over 60 festivals across the globe. She has worked as a visual effects artist, earning a Gemini Award, cemented a reputation as a genre film authority during her tenure as Editor-in-Chief of Rue Morgue Magazine, and was twice named one of the most important women in the history of horror. Vuckovic is also the author of Zombies! An Illustrated History of the Undead (St. Martin’s Press) and Vuckovic’s Horror Miscellany (Ilex Press). She executive produced and directed a segment for XX, the first ever all-female horror anthology, which will have its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017 (from XYZ Films/Magnolia Pictures). She is set to direct the sci-fi action film Riot Girls, as well as the thriller All My Heroes Are Dead, from her own script. She is also in development on the feature documentary How We Die with the producer of Blackfish. Jovanka lives for art, literature and cinema. She occasionally sleeps, when she has the time.
